Rainy Season

Rainy Days are the Best Time for You to Shine

Just because the weather is gloomy, it doesn’t mean your skin should be the same way. During the rainy season, your skin can become dry or suddenly oily due to the humidity the wet season can bring.

Some ways to care for your skin include:

Hydration. Drinking up to 10 glasses of water a day, especially if you live in a Tropical country such as the Philippines, can do wonders.

Hygiene. Proper cleansing techniques for dry skin involve washing with a cleansing soap 2 to 3 times a day. Dabbing on moisturizer after every wash can also do wonders to keep your skin glowing.

Having Skin Treatments. Aside from these home care daily regimens, it is also advised that you get regular Aesthetic skin treatments which best suit your needs in order to achieve that elusive youthful, healthy glow.

Aside from rejuvenating your skin and stimulating the production of collagen, skin treatments can also reverse early signs of aging as well as erase stretch marks and stubborn scars.

Synchroderm Plus, or what is commonly known as Laser Genesis Treatment, works as a deep-penetrating laser facial. It’s perfect for those who want to look younger but it is also the treatment of choice for those with enlarged pores.

As for those with stubborn scars and discolorations, there are Scar Removal Treatments and Skin Pigmentation Treatments.

While treatments such as Fractional CO2 Laser are excellent in terms of scar removal, they also have other benefits as well, such as removing Syringomas and stimulating collagen production, which rejuvenates your skin.

In order for the aforementioned treatments to achieve their desired effects, prolonged sun exposure should be avoided.

So what better time to have these treatments done than during the rainy season?

It Only Take 20 Minutes To Have 20/20 Vision

Seeing the world clearly may seem like an impossibility to those who have spent most of their lives having to deal with poor eyesight. But with the advent of various technological advances in medicine, we are presented with more options.

20/20 vision is now no longer a dream.

With LASIK (Laser-assisted In-Situ Keratomileusis) or corrective eye surgery, one no longer has to live with nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism and presbyopia (or changes in vision that come with age). It is the most popular, and effective, procedure of choice for the restoration of optimum optical function.

The pain-free process involves reshaping the cornea (the transparent front part of the eye) which in turn affects the retina (which is the lens behind it), both of which are responsible for filtering light and focusing vision. The restructuring of these parts of the eye helps it work flawlessly. This process essentially renders the need for glasses or contact lenses non-existent. Because it allows the eye’s natural lenses to function as they were intended to.

But of course any surgical procedure, even one as simple and painless as LASIK, takes proper preparation and recovery. It’s important to know that although the treatment takes only 20 minutes, there has to be time devoted to educating and readying oneself for this journey.

After the surgery, proper time must be alloted to adjust. Around 24-48 hours post-surgery, a follow-up check up must be done and at regular intervals for the next six months.

Consulting with a doctor is the best course of action, first and foremost, before making any decision. The important thing is to remain informed and prepared.

Only by being ready for this big step so can one see the clearest path to take to achieve that elusive perfect vision.
