Another procedure called F-CAT is a type of laser used for PresbyLASIK that allows reading for patients beyond the age of 40 who have Presbyopia, or those who need corrective additional lenses when reading a magazine, a price tag, or even having trouble seeing their meal at near and intermediate distance. The F-CAT process works best when done with advanced LASIK procedure (Z-Lasik, Intralasik). It makes use of excimer lasers and works through ablation.
