Rio & Andrea Valino (Aunt & Niece): Brightness Stays 6 Years After LASIK
Six years of clarity…and still counting.
It’s been that long since Rio Valino, 44 (Account Manager), and Andrea Valino, 36 (Purchasing Assistant Manager), (aunt and niece) had their LASIK together in Shinagawa.
Back in 2020, the aunt and niece tandem decided to have LASIK together on the same day to finally go on with their lives with bright vision after years of struggles.
From my teenage years until adulthood, I struggled with prescription glasses. I really wanted to have clear vision, so I saved money for LASIK.

Rio also shared that prior to having LASIK, she was considered a PWD due to his very poor vision then.
“Actually, PWD ako dati because of my eyesight. So now, I’m not anymore because of LASIK,” added Rio.
Prioritizing her vision was likewise a priority for Andrea back then.
“For me back then, I noticed when I was driving at night, it was so hard to see. So I decided to come to the Philippines, to Shinagawa, and have LASIK with my aunt,” shared Andrea, who is based in the USA and just came home during that time to have LASIK with his Tita Rio since it’s cheaper here in the country.
Together again, they recently had their annual check-up, and their vision is still bright. They couldn’t be more satisfied with how their life-changing LASIK procedures from 2020 continue to benefit them.
“It (bright vision) still helps me a lot. Super!” said Rio after knowing her vision remains clear.
Yung way of living, mas gumanda talaga after LASIK kasi hindi ka na mag-glasses and mas bright yung mga colors.

“Best investment (LASIK) talaga,” said Rio. “Sana mas maaga ko pa ginawa. Ilang years na, I’m okay pa rin.”
“Mas maa-appreciate mo ‘yung life,” gladly shared Andrea.
