Dr. Wilberto P. Castillo, M.D., D.P.B.O., earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Santo Tomas in 2003. He obtained his physician medical license from the Philippine Regulatory Commission in 2004, following the completion of his Medical Internship Program at the University of Santo Tomas Hospital.
Dr. Castillo completed his Ophthalmology residency training in 2007 at the Philippine General Hospital – Sentro Oftalmologico Jose Rizal. In 2011, he was certified by the Philippine Board of Ophthalmology, further affirming his proficiency in the field. To further refine his expertise, Dr. Castillo undertook a Preceptorship with Dr. Minoru Tomita for OptiMedica and CATALYS training at the Shinagawa Eye Center in Ginza, Tokyo, Japan, specializing in femtosecond cataract surgery in 2013. This advanced training equipped him with cutting-edge skills in Cataract surgery, making him a highly qualified Ophthalmologist.
